Hawaiian warriors who were good fighters were referred to as defiant, young 'ahi fishes. This artwork titled "'Ahi Kanana" includes a cultural explanation in hawaiian and english languages. The custom frame and leiomano weapon is handmade with koa wood. The weapon is placed before a velvet background and is left open for viewers to touch (and use).
