The Return of the Pearl Hook From Heaven, executed on a beautiful slab of curly mango wood. The dimensions are 67"x23". The story is about an old man The God of Fishing who lost his powers because his makau kahihi or magic hook was stolen. He along with his trustworthy companion Old Sea Bird were left to fend for themselves. To make a long story short, the old man's son embarked on a quest to find the magic hook so that his father could reclaim the title of The God of Fishing. The carving tells the end of the story where Old Sea Bird is flying back to the old man with the magic hook held tightly in it's beak.
