Koru. New Beginnings

A Koru depicts a fern frond opening meaning new life and new beginnings. In Hawaii, it's called the Piko or ancestral line. The cord used is waxed nylon which is much stronger and more durable then hemp, leather, or cotton. The 2 x 1-1/2 inch piece is made of heavy ebony wood. Polished to a very high gloss.
