This painting is one of my favorites. The second in the series, this painting goes its own way making truely it interesting. Note the view of Mauna Loa with the forest of Ohia trees and the glowing yellow pastures. In the far right distance is Mauna Kea with low clouds dividing the peaks. An afternoon moment.
