Description
This Derby Style Lauhala Hat is handmade using the following patterns: maka oeno (twill) with a small hi'ilu (scallop edge) on the brim. The inch size refers to the circumference of the head this hat will fit. The crown is four and one-fourth inches tall, the brim is two and three-fourths inches wide (including the 1/8 inch scalloped edge). The lauhala was gathered and papale made in Kona on the Big Island. The koi (strips) plaited are 1/8 inch wide. Forehead sweatband sewn in for comfort.
