This Lauhala Hat is handmade using the maka moena (single) pattern. The hat has a 3" tall crown and 3" wide brim. The brim has nihoniho (points) with a "petticoat" lower layer. The koi (strips) plaited are 1/8 inch wide. The lauhala was gathered and papale made in Kona on the Big Island. Fabric sweatband included for comfort.
