This lauhala hat is handmade using the maka oeno (twill) weave. This is a cup and saucer style hat and is usually tilted and worn at an angle.

Hat size is 21.5 inches. The crown is 3.75 inches tall. The brim is approx. 2.75 inches. The koi (strips) are 1/8 inch wide.

Decorated by Margaret Lovett with a large handmade lauhala rose, hat pin, and feathers. The back of the brim has been folded in and secured with a button.
