This is hand carved bone Pua Melia/Plumeria flower. The Pua Melia or plumeria is probably one of the more recognized na Pua/flowers of Hawaii. Although the Hawaiian Hibiscus adorns more commonly adorns Aloha shirts. It is the scent of the Melia that reminds all of Hawaii. To locals there maybe more special flowers, as Ilima,pua kenikeni,pikake,awapuhi/ginger...etc.. But Lei greetings,Hula, & Luau's to most vistors are drawn to memories of the scent of the Pua melia..
