This is a Hawaiian fish hook that has been made out of a wood that is known as "Pink Ivory". When this wood is cut fresh it's a bright pink/red color. It is one of the rarest and most expensive woods to buy, that is legally harvested. This is the royal wood of the Zulu Chiefs, Not allowed for the commoner The necklace can be adjusted up to 21" long and the makau/fish hook is 2-5/8" long. This Makau(hook) is hand-shaped & polished then finished with a traditional Kukui Nut Oil finish.
