This is a curly Koa/mammoth ivory-tip two-piece makau/fishhook. Ths style was considered quite unique and advanced a design found throughout Polynesia. It is lashed to a 3-ply aho made of durable tan-waxed cording. Safe in water, but be alert, this is still part wood. So it needs respect. and kukui or orange oil to condition the wood. This hook is 2"L x 1.25"W. Made,finished in Hawaii Nei with aloha. The cord can be ordered to length above with the "Necklace Size"option. With a ivory toggle.
