Description

The shark was a valuable resource to the Hawaiian people. Because it served many purposes, it lived on through these uses. This artwork titled "Ola Mau" includes a cultural explanation in hawaiian and english languages. The custom frame and pahi (knife) is handmade with koa wood. The knife is placed before a velvet background and is left open for viewers to touch (and use).
