Glenn Schot was born September 12, 1947 in Sydney, Australia. Glenn grew up in San Francisco in 50's and 60's, surfing Ocean Beach, hung at Haight Ashbury, Golden Gate Park, Mt. Tam. and the Central and Northern California coast. Visited Hawaii in 1969. In San Francisco worked as an animator and commercial artist, created first surfing cartoon 1969 and worked on television and scientific animations. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from San Francisco State University. Glenn's diverse background includes being a Harbor Patrol Officer at Pillar Point Harbor, Half Moon Bay. He was also the assistant Harbormaster in Oyster Point, San Mateo County. In 1988 Glenn moved to Hanalei, Kauai to pursue oil painting and fine art. Traveled through Pacific, NZ, Australia and French Polynesia. Left Wine and tobacco on Gaugan's Grave in Marquesa Islands. In 2001, Glenn began sculpting and built a bronze foundry becoming one of the few artists in Hawaii to cast their own work. He has been successfully at casting large silver and other alloys in addition to bronze pieces. Lives in Hanalei, Kauai with wife Jana and 4 cats.
Glenn's hobbies include surfing, paragliding, making videos, and playing badminton. Has 3 great children, Corinne, Damien and Zachary. Glenn is married to Jana "Little Star" and shares there home with 4 cats. Glenn is always seeking to get as much work, fun, excitement and love in as he can this lifetime.
